Aparthotels
The hospitality sector has, over recent years, seen many derivation of the classic hotel and resort typology. Aparthotels provide for a growing market of business travellers, staying for a week or so and not wanting to ‘eat out’ all the time.
Alternatively the groups and families that want to economically share accommodation, are keen to have kitchenettes and small work/play areas included in their package. Adding in gym and on occasion spa facilities completes the broad accommodation offering.
Nick Baker Architects design experience in this multi-use area of aparthotels, resonates with work in other sectors such as co-living and aged living.
Designing for the way people live and use space is at the core of many of our projects. This level of qualitative understanding enables us to produce projects of successful functionality and charisma.
The complex co-ordination of the multiple uses of Aparthotels typically results in intricate technical design solutions. The high volumes of bathrooms and kitchens facilities requires a breadth of understanding across a number of varied engineering sectors.
The MEP and Structural interfaces of these buildings require excellent co-ordination skills and programming, which are all part of Nick Baker Architects core identity.
