50% of Nick Baker Architects projects over the last over decade have been refurbishment projects. Hundreds of residential units have been designed and completed. These years have ensured that we have excellent experience in assessing the value, potential and efficiency of delivery successful building refurbishment.
Nick Baker Architects have developed specialist knowledge of heritage buildings. Be they Grade I, Grade II*, Grade II or of local significance, they all require expert levels of understanding and co-ordination to be able to refurbish with efficiency.
Understanding the inherent characteristics of an existing building is the very best way to start a refurbishment project on the path to success. From the asbestos survey to the 3D laser survey of the levels and hidden corners, it is essential to gather as much relevant information as possible to establish the starting point and from there what can be best added.
