Wilde Hotel, Berlin
Following the opening of the Wilde Aparthotel at Liverpool Street in London, Nick Baker Architects were invited by the Staycity Group to develop the interior planning for a new Wilde aparthotel in Berlin.
Typical Floor Plan
The hotel forms part of "Brooks on East," a landmark mixed-use development on the banks of the Spree between Ostbahnhof and the Uber Arena. The scheme comprises two distinctive towers rising to 95 and 86 metres, together with podium levels, condominiums, offices and commercial space. Staycity's lifestyle boutique brand, Wilde, will operate the aparthotel element, with 222 apartments arranged across the upper floors of both towers and complemented by a lobby, reception and café/bar at ground level. The aparthotel is a second Wilde aparthotel in Berlin, joining its existing property at Checkpoint Charlie.
With the building already under construction, we were engaged to establish the feasibility of the aparthotel layout and develop the scheme to tender stage. Work began with schematic space planning of hotel rooms and back of house areas across both towers, testing how the operator's offering and supporting functions could be accommodated within the existing structure, and establishing the viability of the overall scheme. Detailed internal planning of each room type was undertaken, worked up in close accordance with Staycity's technical requirements and Wilde brand standards.

“as always super fast and super job”

Alongside the room planning, NBA developed bespoke joinery proposals tailored to the brand and to the practicalities of aparthotel accommodation. Because the building was being constructed concurrently, a key part of the role was liaising with the developer's Berlin based design team to coordinate the room layouts with the ongoing mechanical, electrical and structural design. To ensure the interiors met local requirements, we provided advice on the German workplace standards - Technische Regeln für Arbeitsstätten - drawing on the expertise of partner architects based in Berlin.
With its prominent waterfront location and two landmark towers, the Berlin Wilde represents a natural continuation of NBA's work with the Staycity Group. The first tower is expected to open in spring/summer 2027.
