St Edmunds Appointment
NBA have been appointed to design and develop a site at St Edmunds College, Ware, to provide a much needed Learning Centre at the school. Following the development of an extensive masterplan by Lytle Associates a series of sites were selected for further development. These include a site central to the college that acts as a fulcrum to the circulation of pupils around the existing buildings. The proposed scheme acts as an extension to an existing wing of the original main school block developed in 1795. The proposal will need both planning consent and Listed Building Consent As it sits within a collection of Grade I and Grade II listed structures. Careful consideration will be needed to craft in a solution that compliments its existing surroundings.
Elms Mews – Planning Approval
NBA have won planning approval for the redevelopment of the 3rd and 4th floor of 64 Bayswater Road, London. The site overlooking Hyde Park sits on the northern boundary of the park with sweeping views to the south and over Kensington. Located in a Grade II Listed building the project combines two floors of the existing building to create a 200sqm apartment and roof terrace over 3 levels. Careful consideration was given to neighbouring properties along with the onerous guidelines from Westminster City Council who were involved in two pre-application submissions. The scheme for Leufroy developments completes a set of 5 projects with the client that have achieved planning approval in the challenging central London boroughs of Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea.
