Austrian Embassy, London – Completion
NBA have completed the first stage of the Refurbishment of the Austrian Embassy at 18 Belgrave Square, London.
The overall project will see the Grade I listed building upgraded in a number of areas in order to reduce the heat loss and thus improve the thermal efficiency of the 1824 building. Additional measures such as the inclusion of solar thermal panels on the roof of the historic building will add renewable energy resources to the existing building services.
The refurbishment of the external facade was the first stage in the project. This included the installation of external floodlighting. The Grosvenor Estate have taken particular interest in this project as it sets a precedent for how they might continue lighting throughout Belgrave Square.
